In 2022, Riley Lynch joined the Colorado Stormwater Center team as a program assistant. Riley completed her undergraduate degree in Watershed Science with a minor in Environmental Affairs in 2020. During her time as an intern with the City of Colorado Springs’ Stormwater Engineering Division, she taught over 200 kids and 50 local business owners about stormwater, sources of water pollution, and MS4 compliance. She worked as a supplemental instructor with Colorado State University’s Upward Bound program and aided high school students in creating the South Platte River Youth Advisory Council. She is currently working toward her Master’s in Anthropology at Colorado State University and hopes to continue to bridge her passions for environmental justice, education, and science.
